Using correctly sized liners is essential to the success of your zero-waste efforts.

Properly sized liners reduce waste from the use of liners that are too large, and can save you money. Large compostable bags and liners are ideal for keeping collection bins clean, smaller bags and liners are ideal for counter top collection, or smaller bins.

Follow these steps to choose the optimal Natur-Bag® liner

Step 1: Determine container dimensions

Square Container:

Measure all 4 sides
Measure the base diagonal
Measure the vertical length
Round Containers:

Measure the base and top diameters
Measure the vertical length

Step 2: Calculate the liner size

Square Container:
Liner width = Sum of all 4 sides / 2
Liner length = Container length + (base diagonal / 2) + 4″ (to account for overhang)

Round Container:
Liner width = Top diameter x 3.14 / 2
Liner length = Container length + (base diameter / 2) + 4″
