I lead innovation in compostable and biobased materials at Natur-Tec®, guiding global teams to translate material science into scalable, market-ready solutions aligned with compliance policies and IP strategy. I serve on the board of the SPE Bioplastics Division and contribute to advancing technical standards and sustainable packaging.
I oversee Natur-Tec®'s global operations. This includes business and market development, product development, as well as production and operations. I have served on the board of directors for the BPI and actively participate in global industry discussions.
I manage sales and marketing for Natur-Tec® in the Americas and work actively with our clients and their programs. I also serve on the board of directors for the Michigan Recycling Coalition, as well as various other industry organizations, including the BPI and Michigan Organics Council.
I spearhead new product and formulation development at Natur-Tec® which are compostable and biobased. I serve as the Vice Chair of Sustainability for ASTM's plastic division (D20) and work to harmonize sustainable goals with technical standards.

We only produce certified compostable products.
At Natur-Tec®, we control our supply chain from product research and development to the finished product. Our engineers and scientists develop our certified compostable resins and technologies in our labs in the United States, India, and China. Our finished products are then produced within a network of global contractor partners – captive to our brands. These subcontractors use Natur-Tec® resins and technologies to produce Natur-Tec® products.
All Natur-Tec® products are subject to quality control checks prior to release for sale, ensuring our customers receive the highest quality products.

Our world-class labs, located in the United States, India, and China, use the most modern technology to research and develop biobased and compostable performance-based formulations. Our engineers utilize in-house technology to produce and test our products and their applications.
All of our resins, films, and cutlery are tested prior to delivery to the client. We ensure our products adhere to relevant ASTM and global standards, all formulations are correct and accurate, and product performance meets or exceeds our standards.
Testing Our Products
Our Quality Control team uses advanced tools to test all Natur-Tec® products. Our in-house testing equipment includes (but is not limited to) an Instron 5544 Universal Testing Machine, Benz Falling Dart Tester, Digitalized Thwing-Albert Elmendorf Tear Tester, TMI XNR-400 Melt Flow Tester, and tools to test load capacity.
What We Test
Film: tear resistance, impact resistance, elongation, strength, and formulation
Cutlery: compressive extension and rigidity (in and out of hot water) and formulation
Resins: formulation, density, moisture, and melt flow index
